How Vital Is Keyword In Online Business

Know what words your customers will use when searching.
You might know what your customers search for. If not, find out. Is it a description of "pants" or "jeans?" One may be searched more often than the other, but why not target both? How about "executive gifts?" Maybe "desk accessories" will broaden your web site marketing strategy.

Ask all kinds of people. Get advice from people in all walks of life including management, employees, customers, vendors, friends and family on how they would search for effective search engine positioning keywords. Ask them how they would search for different products and services. It's really not about what you think they would search for, its about what they think. Believe me, they can many times be two totally different things.

Once you have successfully harvested a meaningful keyword list, remove any keywords that are too targeted or not to specific. Also remember that keyword placement is important. Try to put as many keywords as possible in the beginning paragraphs, and of course the title line.

The higher the value of the keyword the more competition you will have. Every SEO utilizes tools similar to the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool and also know the value of a keyword. The lower the value of the keyword the less competition we will have.

We don't want to aim to low but we also don't want to aim to high. We need to find a middle ground. For you that may be a keyword with a value of no less than 1000 and no more than 10,000. It will be up to you to determine what you deem reasonable.

Also, the keywords should appear regularly throughout the opening Web page. It is especially important that they appear frequently in the opening paragraphs.
However, resist the temptation to overuse keywords. The search engines can spot it and will reduce your page rankings. Tools are available to help with optimal keyword density. However, avoid software that writes the site's pages. Search engines can sniff these out, too.

A good rule of thumb is: Never sacrifice quality of content for keyword placement. This will affect your page ranking. Most importantly, your site won't appeal to visitors. For a FREE EBOOK detailing the fastest way to the top of the search engine, visit:

What Products You Should Sell In The Internet

Internet home business beginners are usually undecisive over what products to start selling when they start a web business. Here are some information that might be of help.

There are basically three broad categories of product types:

1) Own product
Many successful Internet marketers have at least one product they call their own. This is one of the fastest way to get your name out on the web. Having your own product gives you full control over pricing, design, joint venture deals and bonus materials.

If you do decide on creating and selling your own product, your next step would be to choose between portable electronic version or physical version. Most marketers woud prefer the former because there's no inventory costs. But the most important element is, electronic products like ebooks or MP3s allow for immediate delivery. And this appeals to buyers because they get access to the products instantaneously, satisfying their desire for instant gratification.

One advantage of having your own product means recuiting others (affiliates) to sell for you. You pay them commission only when sales are made. You get tons of targeted visitors but don't spend a cent on advertising.

However, to recruit good affiliates, even super affiliates, you need to have a set of promotional materials ready for them to use. Don't invite them to sign up your affiliate program and leave them to fend for themselves.

Of course the product itself must be of high quality or you'll see refund requests faster than you can sell. Your reputation gets ruined, your affiliates dump you and it's going to be difficult to regain customers' trust.

2) Affiliate Products
Like I mentioned above, an affiliate promotes someone else's products and get paid commission when sales are made. Many Internet marketing beginners will start with this type of selling as it is low costs and some of the pay outs are pretty generous.

But how do you choose which merchant's products to sell? Many people will look at the rate of commission payout by the merchants to decide WHICH products to sell, but be careful, it may just backfire.

First, always think from the customer's point of view. Take a good look at the merchant company's website, does it make you want to buy if you were the customer? Does it have compelling copy to make you click on that "order" button? If the mechant does a lousy job convincing potential buyers, then it won't matter even if they pay out 90% commission to you. Remember, you have done the work and send visitors to the merchants, all your effort and time are wasted if they fail to convert.

So look for merchants who are helpful and have great sales materials you can use like banners and sales messages. Successful affiliates are usually those who are promoting good merchant products, even with low commission rates.

Please note that this is a brief introduction to affiliate marketing, to learn more, visit Wealth Affiliate.com or Affiliate Classroom. Both offer excellent in-depth coaching and training programs to beginners.

3) Resale Products
There are some products where you can resell after you have purchase it yourself. These products come with what is called Resell Rights. There are "Master Resell Rights" and "Resell Rights".

Master Resell Rights give you the full right to either sell or give the product away. You can even pass along the resell rights to your customers.

Resell Rights on the other hand, just gives you the right to sell the product, you may or may not give it away and you cannot transfer the rights to your customers. Meaning your customers cannot sell the product like you can.

While this article is not exhaustive, it is hopeful that the information above can help you make a decision on what to sell as a start and then move on from there. Usually Internet marketing beginners will start with affiliate marketing because it costs the least and you have no inventory or customer service to worrry about.

Personally I would suggest you do the same: start with affiliate marketing and get into a coaching program like the Affiliate Classroom. Learn from those who are successful and take action.

Importance of Internet Marketing in Online Business

Marketing is the lifeblood of any business. Marketing builds awareness. Awareness lets potential customers find out about your product or service. Just as with a bricks and mortar business, marketing is essential in order to let people know your business offer exists.

Although the World Wide Web can be thought of as a media channel where prospects will see your copy day after day, the truth is that unless you attract those prospects to your website first then your efforts are in vain.

Any business that builds a store, for example, must make efforts to attract custom in order to succeed. The very same principle applies online and just as in the offline world, the amount of benefits reaped is proportional to the amount of effort put in.

In order to maintain any kind of competitive advantage, sustained efforts must be made with a long term plan in mind.

Compared to traditional offline methods of marketing, one of the distinct advantages of marketing online is the speed at which new marketing strategies can be put to test. For example, a pay per click campaign could be launched and the results analysed all in a single day. Such campaigns can promote the smallest businesses amongst the largest industry relevant websites viewed by thousands of qualified prospects.

One of the greatest Internet marketing fallacies is those services offering automated submission to hundreds of search engines as an effective means of search engine promotion. When 80% of all search engine usage is carried out using the three largest search engines (Google, Yahoo! and MSN), the only others worth being included in are those that are highly relevant and/or localised. This means that automated submission services such as these can offer limited benefit and then only to those websites that don't already appear in a search engine's listings.

The effectiveness of these types of automated and unspecific services quickly becomes diluted when they are made readily available to all.

For an effective Internet marketing that delivers significant and measurable results, there is no substitute for a well-structured, customised approach making the best possible use of the technologies available.

Building a successful Internet business starts with building a website and continues with effective marketing.

Scam Alert - Things You Should Know

Work at home has become such a rage with the advent of internet that it has evolved into an industry on its own. As with almost all other industries, this too has been infested with scamsters trying to con you. In fact, this devil is more at work in this industry due to the basic demerits of the functionality. These demerits are actually the merits - no physical presence. The reason the online or work at home industry elevated to this level is because you don't need to arrive at a particular place called office, and still work can be executed with equal productivity and efficiency. This has been exploited by the conmen to their advantage. Here is a list of things you should keep in mind while trying to enter into the world of work at home.

Don't pay for the membership or subscription fees at the first glance. You will come across thousands of websites claiming instant work and profits. Remember, it is not so easy when practiced. Secondly, there will be lot of competition for the work on offer. Study and research these sites thoroughly before you invest a single cent on these. Get as much information about the employer before you make any commitment towards spending some money. Genuine employers will never ask for any money for the employment opportunities.

Enter into the forums on work at home. You will come across people from all over the world discussing the idea and problems associated with work at home. Some of them will also be seen complaining about the opportunity they were trapped in. Make a list of such websites about whom there are frequent complaints. It is always better to avoid such scamsters.

Envelope stuffing scheme has been the king of all scams in the history of work at home industry. The scamsters claim that you will be paid for stuffing the envelopes. Apply wisdom here - why a company will pay you one dollar for stuffing one envelope. Similar schemes have evolved with the main principle in place. You will be asked to pay for the membership to start data entry work. Once paid, you will be asked to place the ad of the same site at various places. If you receive X amount of positive responses, then you will be paid Y amount. In reality, such scamsters don't have any work available for you. They work on the pyramid or gold ring scheme to con more people making you as their front agent.
